Cape Cod has alot of different types of homes

 

Victorian

Series of Architecture Revival Styles mid to late 19th Century​

Victorian is in reference to the Victorian Era, under the reign of Queen Victoria. Features steeply pitched roofs, bay windows, elaborate wood trim, painted exterior and wrap around porch

 

 

 

 

 

Colonial Revival

1880 to present, looking back at colonial and federal architecture for inspiration . It seeks to revive elements of colonial architecture

 

 

Greek Revival

A popular architectural style that has its inspiration from Ancient Greece​

popular between the 1820's and 1860's. It was a subset of neoclassical design

 

 

 

 

Farmhouse

​Simple rectangular floorplan, two story, with gable roof and wooden cladding

 

 

Cottage

​evoking a sense of warmth, comfort, and nostalgia, in a small place.  Can be rural and traditional. 

 

 

 

Bungalow

a single story, or sometimes one and a half story house. Sloped roof and open floor plan. The low pitched roof is common, has an open floor plan.

 

 

Tudor

secular architecture, use of half timber work, multiple, overlapping, front facing gables, and steply pitched roofs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cape Cod has a variety or architectural styles.
